 ANNUAL TIRE & METAL DROP OFF DAY

 The Town of Van Buren Highway Department will be hosting its annual tire and metal drop off day in conjunction with Earth Day and OCRRA on April 20th and April 21st at 7895 West Dead Creek Road.  Drop off times are 8:00 am to 3:00 pm on April 20th and 8:00 am to Noon on April 21st.  The collection days are for Van Buren residents only. 

We will be accepting metal items most household electronics and propane tanks at no charge.  Only car and light truck tires will be accepted.  Charge for disposal will be $1.50 per tire with a maximum of 8 tires per household.  Refrigerators, air conditioners and dehumidifiers will be accepted for $25.00 each and microwaves will be accepted for $10.00 each.

 

Please contact Highway Supt, Doug Foster with any questions at 635-5124.  If your group or organization wants to participate in Earth Day’s roadside clean-up, please contact OCRRA at 453-2866 x202 to register and receive stickers for free disposal.  Let’s work together to keep Van Buren beautiful.
